Enter your roster or use the example, then choose Auto arrange.

Create your classroom seating chart

Enter one student per line, choose the desk layout, then select Auto arrange. The chart appears below and the page moves to it.

A fixed seat must remain exact. A keep-apart rule means no direct neighbor in rows, no same pair in partner mode, and no same four-seat pod in pod mode.

Automatic placement tries many arrangements but does not claim mathematical optimality. If it cannot satisfy every rule, it labels the output as a draft and lists what remains unresolved.

Use identifiers for duplicate names. Only names appear in the print view; the tool does not ask for emails, grades, behavior notes, disability information, or school accounts.

Saving and printing

Type or paste names to start; a file is not required. Save chart for later keeps an editable copy on your device. Open saved chart brings it back here. Print / save PDF makes a copy to share or print.
