How to merge PDF files in the order you need
- Choose two or more PDFs. Add up to 20 files. They are read by this browser tab and are not sent to a server by this tool.
- Check the list. Use Up and Down to arrange whole documents. Number 1 supplies the first pages, followed by number 2.
- Name and merge the result. Select Merge PDFs, wait for processing, then download the result. Your originals are not changed.
What this browser PDF merger does
It combines every page of each selected PDF into one file. Join a cover sheet to a report, several scans into one submission, or chapters into a packet. A 1-page cover, 12-page report and 3-page appendix produce 16 pages in that order.
Processing stays on your device. Closing or refreshing the tab clears the list and generated download; there is no account, saved project or retained copy.
Before you combine large or sensitive documents
- Limit: 20 files, 100 MB each and 200 MB total. A low-memory device may handle less.
- Unlock password-protected or encrypted PDFs first. Damaged and uncommon PDFs may fail.
- Digital signatures can become invalid. Forms, bookmarks, attachments and document metadata may not carry over as expected.
- This tool does not compress, split, rotate, OCR, edit text or select individual pages.
Common PDF merge questions
Why is the file order wrong?
The numbered list controls the order, not file names. Move documents before merging, then reopen the newest download if your viewer cached an older file.
Why will a PDF not open?
Check that it is a real PDF, not a renamed image or document. Unlock password-protected files or re-export a damaged file from its source application.
How do I save the merged file?
Select Download after processing. Your browser saves it to Downloads or asks for a location. The suggested name ends in .pdf.
Should I review the result?
Yes. Verify page count, order, orientation, forms and signatures before printing, submitting or sharing. Browser processing does not guarantee compatibility with every PDF.
