How to create and download a QR code

  1. Enter the exact URL or text you want the code to contain.
  2. Select “Generate QR code” and scan the preview with a second device.
  3. Download PNG for everyday use, SVG for scalable artwork, or choose Print for a clean paper copy.

Choosing PNG, SVG, or print

PNG is a fixed-size image that works well in documents, messages, and common design apps. SVG stays sharp when resized, so it is usually the better source for posters or professional layouts.

The print view removes site navigation and controls and includes the encoded content beneath the code. Keep that text visible when a person may need a fallback.

What a static QR code means

This tool puts your content directly inside the QR code. It does not create an account, redirect link, expiration date, edit function, or scan analytics. The generated image keeps encoding the same content after you download it.

A static code cannot be changed later. If it contains a web address, the destination can still move or stop working. Avoid encoding secrets: anyone who can see the code can read its contents.

Frequently asked questions

Does the QR code expire?

No. The image itself has no expiration service. A linked website can still change or become unavailable.

Is my text uploaded?

Generation runs in your browser. This page does not send the entered content as an analytics field.

Why is the limit measured in bytes?

QR capacity depends on encoded data. Characters such as emoji and many non-Latin scripts use more than one UTF-8 byte.

Can I edit the QR code after downloading it?

Not its encoded content. Change the input and generate a new code instead.
